What you'll do:

The Strategic Risk Initiatives Program Manager will collaborate with partners across the enterprise to compile and provide executive-level presentations and risk analyses to senior leadership and the Board of Directors. The successful candidate will effectively partner across all Lines of Defense on business matters related to Treasury, Mortgage, Operations, Legal, and Human Resources.

The Strategic Risk team is part of the Bank's wider Risk Management department and a rapidly growing team focused on providing expert guidance, credible challenge, and effective oversight of risk-taking activities throughout the Bank. The Risk Management department plays a critical role in helping to inform bank management and the Board of Directors of the risks inherent in its actions and decisions, enterprise impacts, and opportunities to manage risk.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Strategic Risk Initiatives, the ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple workstreams, comprehensively synthesize and communicate information, and perform analyses as needed. This role will start as an individual contributor with requisite analyst support from within the Strategic Risk team.

What we are looking for:

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on real-time monthly program routines and deliverables including ownership of internal meeting routines, oversight of action plans, presentation visuals, and final presentation compilation
  • Incorporate and analyze stakeholder updates to perform informal impact assessments and updates to presentation materials
  • Coordinate committee/board meeting and regulatory material compilation within the 2nd Line of Defense and with 1st/3rd Line of Defense authors as part of the regulatory interaction model
  • Write formal meeting minutes and external letters as part of the regulatory interaction model
  • Research and synthesize regulatory and legal obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
  • Support development of other Strategic Risk team committee/board deliverables as needed (e.g., Large Financial Institution Readiness Planning, Risk reporting, HR Incentive Compensation Plan review).

Qualifications:

  • 6 years of direct or related experience in Risk Management, Economics, Law, Internal Audit, Finance, Public Accounting, or Management Consulting with Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Knowledge of general banking and governance practices, industry trends, competitive landscape, and corporate strategy
  • Experience with enterprise-wide initiatives with ability to execute multiple initiatives in parallel to achieve continuous outcomes
  • Excellent business writing skills (executive and board-level) with a high degree of accuracy and critical thinking
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of an organization including senior management
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively and to work efficiently and independently to meet established deadlines
  • Intermediate to advanced Power Point skills in addition to proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
