Careers Payroll Support Specialist North Little Rock, Arkansas
Garver is seeking a professional, motivated individual to join our Finance Team in our North Little Rock, Arkansas office, for anon-remote position. This position will offer an array of payroll responsibilities supporting the corporate Payroll Manager and Finance Team.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Experience with ADP Payroll Processing
  • Entering data into databases (HRIS) and spreadsheets for reconciling before posting payroll
  • Monitoring Payroll inbox daily, addressing inquiries/payroll changes same-day such as: raises, direct deposit, VOE's, 401K, HSA, FSA, Taxes, W-2s, payroll letters, misc. payroll inquiries, etc., Timely response to offer best employee experience.
  • Processing paper checks for distribution, acquiring all necessary signatures to distribute payroll
  • Processing wage garnishments as set by IWO and current laws
  • Excellent payroll recording, with proper documentation for each bi-weekly payroll
  • Tax compliance/understanding of the filing requirements for local, city and municipal taxes
  • Conduct regular audits for payroll withholdings limits: 401K/HSA/FSA as set by IRS
  • Understand reporting requirements for ACA
  • Maintain compliance with State - final paychecks laws
  • Process off-cycle payroll(s) with quick turnaround time
  • Assist with monthly financial statements
  • Prepare reports for Bureau of Labor Statistics as requested by state/office location
  • Standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house
  • Assist with Payroll guides uses for training purposes using Publisher
  • Providing payroll expertise with confidence and commitment
  • Special Projects as needed by Payroll Manager
  • Assist with external audits as scheduled
  • All other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • 2+years of experience in payroll
  • FPC and/or CPP Certified (suggested)
  • HIPAA Compliance Training as provided by Garver
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, & Publisher
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional mathematical and calculation skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to work in a professional environment
  • Multitasking abilities
  • Good research and analysis skills
