Overall Purpose

This position is responsible for stability, performance, and growth of key business platforms. Partnering with Development closely and new functionality with a focus on application performance and stability.

Essential Functions

  • Document, manage and support code deployments into upper environments, and performing the appropriate functional, regression, performance, and other assisted testing requirements; once validated, create Kanban stories to support staff for off-hour deployments within approved change windows

  • Participate and contribute to Agile meetings (grooming, sprint reviews, standups etc.) and support work to complete the company's objectives while maintaining EWS control standards

  • Review and help clarify, update, and manage Business Review Documents (BRD), Production Readiness Checklists (PRC) or Non-FunctionalRequirementsare appropriately completedand made available to team members to review

  • Identify application performance challenges from monitoring, customer feedback, or team member feedback and suggest technical solutions to product or ART teams to increase performance and remove customer friction

  • Create, update, organize, share information and documentation focused on applications, services, infrastructures, business requirements, testing, and other processes and/or procedures.

  • Partner with all integrated applications and teams in Identifying, clarifying, collaborating, and executing infrastructure upgrades and vulnerability remediation

  • Responsible for second and third level business functional and systems support including coaching support engineers on code deployment to Production environments

  • Provide training and mentorship to Production Reliability Engineers, and Production Control Analysts

  • Working closely with Product Owners, Architecture, Security, Engineering, and other teams to collaborate and agree upon requirements, priorities, etc.

  • Provide input and guidance to platform projects to ensure reliability, scalability, current functionality, capacity, and application performance Service Level Agreements (SLA's) are met

  • Provide or automate reports and status updates for timely delivery required for projects, leaders, and others.

  • Identify areas where efficiencies and/or automation could improve processes, reduce, or eliminate manual processes, reduce risk, and provide a better user experience. Working with others to architect the solution, create the epics or stories required, prioritize, test, implement and measure the improvements.

  • Prioritize, managing and keeping current tasks, stories, and assignments within team Kanban board

  • Managing and replacing certificates as required

  • Assist in, triage, manage, and support incidents tickets and their corresponding Service Level Agreements

  • Assist in creation, standardization and use of external communications to notify customers with timely notice of upcoming maintenance activities or application impacts

  • Support the company commitment to risk management and protecting our integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 or more years of related experience

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.

  • Demonstrated experience in development, project management, and requirements gathering for systems performance and reliability.

  • Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) disciplines, practices, and procedures

  • Knowledge and/or experience in financial institution operations related to assigned platform capabilities.

  • Ability to analyze problems and review multiple alternate solutions including analysis of advantages and disadvantages and make decisions.

  • Ability to relate business needs to system capabilities and to fully understand the role of the systems and impacts to the business.

  • Advanced knowledge of platform architecture systems and requirements.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.

  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recent experience with Application Support

  • Experience with Oracle, SQL, Java, and/or Linux

  • Experience with F5, IBM MQ, AWS, Splunk and/or AppDyamics is helpful

  • Amazon Cloud certification

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers.

The pay scale for this position in:

Phoenix, AZ in USD per year is: $90,000 - $105,000.
