About the Position

Ready to combine your technical skills with a civic purpose? Join Maricopa County Elections as a Temporary T-Tech!

As a Temporary T-Tech, you are responsible for providing technical collaboration with our Poll Workers. You will provide troubleshooting efforts and equipment security and retrieval activities. You will deliver technical conflict resolution at our polling sites, supporting our election activities before, during, and after the election cycle.

We Require

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED.

Successful candidates must be registered voters or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona. You must pass an applicable background screening. Some positions may require the use of a County or personal vehicle for your work, which would require a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, a reliable vehicle, and attendance in Maricopa County's Defensive Driving Course. You must be available to work overtime hours as needed.

Job Contributions

  • Works in collaboration with Poll Workers to set up Vote Centers and Polling Locations before opening for election activities
  • Supports troubleshooting efforts throughout the election cycle and equipment security and retrieval activities at the close of Election Day
  • Prepares and retrieves information and enters/updates information in reports, logs, or other documentation/record-keeping systems
  • Carries a 50lb backpack of materials for repairs throughout the assignment
  • Analyzes programs to ensure prompt problem resolution and ticket closure
  • Travels throughout Maricopa County to perform laptop software, hardware installations, configurations, repairs, and ongoing support
  • Assists other divisions with election activities

Working Conditions

  • Full-Time/Temporary/Overtime hours are mandatory during the election cycle
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist a minimum of 50 pounds and carry for 100 feet
  • Ability to push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds for 200 feet
  • Ability to stoop and bend
  • Upper extremity repetitive motions
  • Work may be performed indoors or outside in high temperatures
  • Utilizing personal or county vehicle
