Description & Requirements

The National Industry Marketing Leader (NIML) guides their assigned industry group in many aspects of marketing and business development, including national industry strategic plan development, managing and supporting the national industry marketing budget, market opportunity and competitor research, leading national association relationships and involvement, conference planning and participation, strategic client and prospect pursuits, collaboration vehicles, national industry advertising, and driving thought leadership through multiple platforms, including trade associations and publications, social media, email marketing, webinars, videos, and more.

Working directly with the National Industry Leader (NIL) and industry committee, this individual will collaborate with Consulting Marketing Leaders (CMLs) and Industry Marketing Leaders (IMLs) across five regions, and key stakeholders to develop and implement strategic marketing plans to drive overall national strategic plan objectives, help launch new products, services, and growth initiatives, implement campaigns and strategies to drive revenue growth, and manage the overall national marketing approach for their respective industry group.

This individual will work directly with the Industry Marketing Director, as well as regions, markets, and Marketing & Business Development team members to promote a collaborative culture and national brand consistency to enhance the overall marketing direction of the firm.


How you will contribute:

  • Pursue unwavering consistency and collaboration across marketing and business development organization
  • Champion and help ensure national brand consistency
  • Work with the NIL and industry committee to identify, support, and implement growth initiatives
  • Work with the NIL and industry committee to develop and execute a national industry strategic plan that supports and tracks growth goals in collaboration with consulting, regional and strategic marketing leaders
  • Develop and manage the national industry marketing budget
  • Lead and nurture national association relationships to help generate brand awareness and thought leadership opportunities
  • Pursue and manage sponsorship, speaking, tradeshow, and event opportunities delivering a strong brand and client experience that increases exposure with target audience and drive follow up opportunities
  • Develop and manage the industry's content marketing strategy that includes the development of thought leadership, website content and digital experience, intranet, webinars, video, and industry proposal marketing content
  • Support industry social media content
  • Lead ideation, development, and accountability for execution around integrated marketing campaigns and leveraging the launch of new services and products that support firm's innovation program, both internal and external
  • Support a PR/media relations strategy coordinating with the firm's Strategic Communications team to pursue media opportunities with trade publications and regional/national business outlets
  • Work with Marketing and Business Development team to establish and evaluate the industry's significant marketing campaigns' KPIs with monthly reports to provide data-driven insights to industry leaders
  • Collaborate with IMLs in regions and CMLs to drive strategy sessions for key client and prospect pursuits
  • Develop and deliver marketing activities for targeted national accounts in conjunction with digital marketing team
  • Actively participate in National Industry Marketing team meetings to promote collaboration and best-practice sharing
  • Support internal industry education, conference planning and coordinate the rollout of major projects
  • Coach and develop National Industry Marketing Associate
  • Expand knowledge of marketing best practices as well as industry and business trends through internal & external training programs and communication with professional organizations, clients, competitors, and other relevant sources
  • List management and research for national industry marketing efforts
  • Travel to support conferences

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 5 years or more relevant experience
  • A solid foundation of applicable B2B or industry marketing knowledge
  • Excellent computer and software skills, including proficiency with Microsoft 365 and other database tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years or more relevant experience
