Responsibilities

Terros Health is hiring a Full-Time Clinical Informatics Specialist in Phoenix, AZ.

Hybrid-Working remotely and at sites across Phoenix (Arizona Only)

Bachelor's Degree in healthcare field, nursing informatics, clinical informatics or related IT field preferred

Full-Time, Employed

Monday-Friday (Some occasional evening and weekend work required)

The Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible for providing clinical expertise within the Information Systems team toward the continual development and maintenance of the electronic health record (EHR) and integrated systems and software. The Clinical Informatics Specialist is accountable for activities related to analysis, design, planning, implementation, troubleshooting and technical support, training, and process improvement. This position acts as the primary liaison between key clinical stakeholders and the EHR. The Clinical Informatics Specialist assists with priority EHR initiatives and coordinates with cross-functional teams and resources to ensure a cohesive EHR system for the enterprise. This position develops technical training programs, creates educational opportunities, and trains staff on EHR related workflows, templates and processes. This position reports to the Director of Informatics and is a member of the Informatics team.

Clinical Informatics Specialist Duties Include:

    Provides clinical expertise, analysis and advice on EHR projects and initiatives. Works with the Informatics team to select and deploy efficient and effective EHR solutions.
  • Works with key clinical stakeholders on process improvement projects in alignment with other Information Systems and EHR initiatives.
  • Designs, coordinates and presents EHR trainings and educational opportunities based on project initiatives and ongoing assessment of need.
  • In collaboration with the informatics team, works to set expectations with key clinical stakeholders and super user community on implementation, process improvement and optimization projects.
  • Provides consultation and recommendations on requests related to EHR workflows, templates and functionality.
  • Monitors end user reports to assess trends and identifies opportunities for holistic system resolution, escalation of priority, and process improvement.
  • Adheres to organizational policies and procedures and follows change control processes for the EHR application and related system design & implementation projects.
  • Assists Informatics with NextGen implementation including analysis, design, configuration, testing, and training, and support activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Starting Pay: $57K

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or other related health field preferred-Currently licensed or non-licensed.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry preferred and EHR, Informatics and/or IT experience preferred.
  • Ability to translate clinical and operational business requests into technical requirements for the use by technical staff.
  • NextGen Certified Professional (NCP) preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong project management and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high priority tasks in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to convey a strong presence and professional image.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment and consistently meet strict service level agreement and performance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently as well as ability to effectively work in a team environment and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy
  • Must pass a TB Test.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7working days of assuming role.
