Civil Designers (EIT's) and Project Engineers (P.E.'s) at HILGARTWILSON have potential for advancement and other opportunities throughout the company based on sound technical skills, strong communication skills, business acumen and enthusiasm to join a successful and growing organization.


Responsibilities

  • Performs task oriented design on mostly larger, complex projects.
  • Prepares reports, final design plans, technical specifications, and other technical documents with limited assistance.
  • Responsible for quality control, schedules and plan production.
  • Delegates work within team and gives team technical guidance assuring design is technically sound and cost efficient.
  • Coordinates with team members, staff, municipalities, consultants and clients.
  • Provides highly technical design and quality control.
  • Processes plans and resolves issues with plan reviewers.
  • Assists with project and team management.
  • Mentors other design staff in areas of technical expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in civil engineering, specifically drainage/stormwater engineering with a strong technical H&H background.
  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) or Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), AZ P.E. preferred, or ability to obtain AZ within 6 months.
  • Experience with preparing CLOMR/LOMR and flood studies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite for computer software skills.
  • 2D modeling experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively work in a collaborative team environment on a variety of large scale, challenging projects.
