Marketing Events Intern

Active Network, a Global Payments Company, is seeking a Marketing Events Intern for summer 2024. This program will last from 6/3/2024 - 8/9/2024 and will be a full 40 hour-a-week schedule, with some schedule flexibility within. This is an hourly, paid position.

Qualifications

Applicants in their Sophomore, Junior or Senior undergraduate program - including programs in marketing, communications, business or similar - will be considered.

Must have:

  • Interestin event coordination, trade shows, and brand promotion. They would be excited about the opportunity to contribute to increasing product and brand awareness through industry conferences and events through innovative and creative engagements. Additionally, they would show curiosity about developing concepts to enhance internal employee engagement and organizational satisfaction.

  • Expectationof actively engaging in the coordination of logistics for industry conferences and events. They would play a key role in coordinating promotional materials, crafting internal communications, and collecting performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of events. Equally focused on event coordination and employee engagement, they would expect creative engagement-building assignments such as brainstorming dynamic topics and deliverables to enhance companywide initiatives.

  • Opennessto learning and adapting to Marketing's needs as they arise. The candidate would be open to learning new skills and assisting in administrative tasks to support the Marketing team's objectives. They would be expected to work collaboratively to execute programs effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Driveto self-initiate learning, project and training opportunities - within a well-supported team environment.

  • Rising Sophomore to Graduate Students currently enrolled in a college or university.

  • Interns must be willing to attend a two-day orientation on Eastern Standard Time

Responsibilities:

Coordinates the logistics of industry conferences and events to increase product/brand awareness. Establishes exhibition space and coordinates promotional materials, orders required booth services such as electricity, carpet, and material handling, and supports budget reconciliation data. Collects performance metrics to measure lead generation resulting from events and engagement programs. Develops concepts to solve organizational challenges relating to internal employee engagement satisfaction. Provides overall administrative support for the Marketing team as a whole

  • Curious, fast-learning and resourceful.

  • Organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication skills.

  • Sense of teamwork and the ability to execute programs. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
