What You'll Do
  • Actively participate and assist in leading team with CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture (Take 2, Observation Cards and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Plan and attend required staffing and safety meetings
  • Must champion Safety and promote safety by example in all aspects of the operations
  • Ensure incoming scrap meets or exceeds quality expectations
  • Oversee Mill Services yard operations
  • Supervise and manage direct report(s)
  • Enter inventory control data into SAP
  • Maintain appropriate scrap inventory by commodities
  • Maintain inventory accuracy metrics and associated reports for management
  • Provide a daily/weekly scrap inventory report to Melt Shop Management
  • Communicate important shift information, production issues, concerns and needs with proper personnel
What You'll Need
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to details and find root causes for issues
  • Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
  • Minimum 3 years of field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Experience managing people and budgets
  • Experience in Inventory Control
  • Proficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Ability to track, chart, and improve processes
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbally with customers, employees, and business leaders
  • Able to remain calm in pressure situations and adapt quickly to change
  • Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned for emergency situations
Your Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
  • 4-Year College Degree preferred
