Job Description

The Inpatient Program Clinician provides clinical social services and therapeutic treatment skills to enable patients to achieve their optimal level of emotional and behavioral health. The Inpatient Program Clinician is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning/ case management services, making referrals, crisis intervention and acting as a liaison with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.

Requirements

Minimum Education: Masters' Degree in Social Work, Psycology, or Professional Counseling

Minimum Experience: Requires a minimum of one-three (1-3) years' experience working with a psychiatric behavioral health population, preferably in an inpatient setting. Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice. Must have strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.

Certification/ License: Licensure in area of specialty (i.e. LAC, LPC, LMSW or LCSW) preferred.
