Work Schedule

The standard work schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm during the Academic Year.

7:00am - 6:00pm during the Summer Months

This position offers remote work allowing employees a combination of onsite and work from home options. The expected remote work schedule for this position is will be determined by the needs of the department.

This is a grant funded assignment with a projected end date of 06-30-2025 with renewal based on available funds and the needs of MCCCD.

Job Summary

Provides support, guidance, and information for students for career and academic pathways for occupational certificates and associate degrees. Tracks and monitors progress for academic and career pathways. Works with site coordinators developing academic and career pathways for partnering high schools course offerings. Runs reports and identifies students on track for degree and certificate completion. Communicates progress to students and parents. Will assist student admissions and registration.

Essential Functions

40% - Provides support, guidance and information for career and academic pathways for early college students. Additional student services duties for early college program, including admissions and registration. High school visits and on-campus office hours
35% - Maintains records and tracks student progress for academic and career pathways and runs reports on degrees and degree progress. Work one-on-one with students for degree/success plans. Work with high school liaisons, students, and parents to track students' progress
25% - Coordinates recruitment and enrollment of early college students. In-person high school, parent and classroom presentations. Works with high school partners developing, creating, and implementing career pathways and degree completion for dual enrollment courses

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

A. Bachelor's Degree
B. Three (3) or more years of experience working in education
C. Experience using a student information system to complete student services processes such as enrollment, advising, and financial aid
D. Experience developing and implementing program services including piloting new approaches to address student success initiative and challenges
E. Experience with data analysis, report writing, and determining the effectiveness of initiatives such as retention, completion, or successes
F. Experience working with at-risk, underserved, first-year students or first time in college students

Special Working Conditions

Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving: . Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense. Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations. May require numerous evenings or weekends. May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. May be required to lift or carry up to #25 lbs
