Who you are

Do you love to see the impact that high quality geographic and demographic materials can make for marketing, site selection, and other analysis? Are you technically savvy, expert in developing web apps and tools in an ESRI environment, and comfortable with aspects of programming? Are you passionate about discussing and presenting technical and general aspects of maps, data and analysis?

We are looking for a seasoned Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to create and maintain web apps and tools that support internal clients, GIS professionals, and developers; as well as present GIS products and analysis to external clients. You are a self-starter who can take the lead on complex projects, work under pressure, deal with multiple deadlines, handle stressful situations and work with minimal supervision.

What you bring

  • Minimum of 5+ years of GIS experience and/or training.

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems or related degree /certification

  • Advanced proficiency with ESRI products including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.

  • Fluency with Python, JavaScript, and JSON.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Exceptional customer service, organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Bonus skills and experience

  • Commercial real estate experience

  • Programming experience

  • Graphic design experience

What success looks like

  • You bring the ability to read, analyze and interpret professional and technical documents, manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, professional journals, and government regulations.

  • You will consult with internal and external clients to define project requirements, investigating various approaches to deliver high quality information to stakeholders.

  • You will develop advanced, specialized web maps, apps, tools, and widgets utilizing geographic information and best practices.

  • You will participate in client meetings and present GIS and analytical aspects of client pitches, consulting projects, and other external communications.

  • You will adhere to standards and policies on quality assurance and quality checks. All while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality of finished products.

  • You are an excellent communicator who can effectively present information and respond to queries for information in both written and oral format.

  • Assist with analysis, research, design, testing, and implementation of all mapping tools, templates, standards, and software. Assist with maintaining a knowledge base of standards and templates.

  • You can work with mathematical and statistical concepts and apply operations such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
