Job Description

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a roving HVAC Technician to join our team in Phoenix!

This individual will perform preventive maintenance and general repairs & adjustments to the building systems, equipment, and fixtures, specializing in HVAC troubleshooting and repair.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Properly troubleshoot HVAC systems failures and devise workable solutions
  • Troubleshooting, service, and repairs to EMS/BMS systems, mechanical systems, and HVAC equipment
  • Respond, evaluate, and complete tenant and service requests as ordered
  • Work with property manager and supervisor to ensure all building services, budgets, project planning, tenant improvements, and emergency plans are implemented properly
  • Participate in on-call, after hours, and weekend rotation to ensure building efficiency and customer satisfaction

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent verbal communication skills and a helpful attitude when interacting with building occupants. You must also have a high school degree or equivalent & at least 5 years of HVAC experience in a commercial environment, including troubleshooting and repairs & building automation and control. You are required to hold regional or local licensing/certifications to operate a building. You have a clear driving record, basic knowledge of computer applications, and ability to lift 50 lbs. You must also be able to work from a ladder, work overhead, smell smoke and other chemicals and be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions. Universal CFC is required.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • SMA, SMT, and/or LEED certification
  • Certification in one or more building automation systems
