Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday, hours varied; some evenings and weekends may be required
Not to exceed 19.5 hours per week.

Job Summary

Provides in-person and/or virtual instruction to adults to successfully acquire the knowledge necessary to pass the Microsoft Office Specialist certification exam and prepare for career pathways. Content includes basic computing and Word processing, creating and applying Word processing skills, and MOS Word Certiport test preparation, while incorporating career readiness activities and job preparation. Students participating in these courses are concurrently enrolled in High School Equivalency or English language acquisition classes. Utilizes and integrates technology in the classroom and follows required curriculum and Arizona Adult Education Standards for instruction.

Essential Functions

80% - Instructs adults in Microsoft Office including - basic computing and Word processing, creating and applying Word processing skills, MOS Word Certiport test preparation, and career readiness activities
10% - Maintains accurate student records, enrollment in Certiport exam, required forms and documents, attendance hours, and other documents as required by the program
10% - Engages in job-embedded professional learning

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education or related degree

OR

Five years of occupational experience in the field to be taught

OR

Three years of occupational experience in the field to be taught and a Bachelor's degree.
