Our client, a well-known and established engineering, surveying, and planning firm, seeks a Civil Project Manager in Land Development to join their growing team. The ideal candidate for this role will lead a team of engineers in addition to developing scopes, preparing cost proposals, managing project budgets, and continually developing client relationships. This firm needs a professional who is an expert at collaborating closely with clients and their own team to direct the completion of the design, stay within budget, on schedule as well as expertly oversee employees as they develop and mentor them. The ideal candidate must have a passion for land development and engineering as they guide a team with strong technical skills. This is a long-term, direct hire role located in Phoenix, Arizona.
Develop scopes, prepare cost proposals, and negotiate contract language
Create and oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
Develop and maintain client relationships
Supervise, develop, mentor employees, and thrive in a team environment
Oversee quality control throughout project duration
Prepare designs on land development projects with strong technical skill
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D
Use solid sound judgement and organizational skills
Self-motivate and manage and meet multiple critical deadlines
Participate in improving company resources and tools to improve quality and productivity
Participate in professional and/or technical organizations
Requirements:
BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required, MS preferred
5+ years of progressively responsible engineering and management experience required
Land development project experience required
Substantial technical and civil engineering knowledge required
Professional Engineering (PE) license required or ability to obtain in 3 months;
Proven track record of successful client interaction including initiating contacts, negotiating contracts, ensuring client satisfaction, and securing referrals
Staff management, leadership ability, mentoring skills, complex problem solving ability
Meticulous, organized, multi-tasking and good follow-through skills
Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts visually, verbally and in written communication in order to communicate effectively with various departments, clients, and agencies
