Job Description

The Manager, FP&A for McKesson Technology will report to the Sr. Manager, FP&A for McKesson Technology and will have direct responsibility over Project and Total P&L related activities in support of several McKesson Technology solution teams. Job duties include budgeting, forecasting, ad hoc business analysis, preparation, and delivery of presentations to Senior (VP+) leaders within McKesson Technology. Support our cloud strategy and related operations. Will be a liaison for cloud saving opportunities and main financial lead on the cloud migration cost model. Part of FinOps team (representative). You will join with the Sr. Manager FP&A in the development and perpetuation of a culture of operational excellence, including the development and continuous improvement of the team's processes and activities. You will interact with technology and business unit finance leadership on a frequent basis to ensure the quality, integrity, timeliness and material accuracy of financial reporting and forecasting.

You will partner in a collaborative manner with team members across MTO's larger and geographically diverse FP&A team.You will have technical finance competence, inherent critical thinking and intellectual curiosity, leadership capabilities and excellent communicative abilities that you will leverage to build and perpetuate an esprit de corps amongst your teammates and business partners.

Position Description

Serve as the primary or secondary point of FP&A Support for certain Enterprise IT Solutions. Your duties will include provision of financial guidance for cost center management and analysis, CAPEX and OPEX analysis, and allocations from enterprise-wide technology solutions to the McKesson Business Units

  • Provide direct support to the Sr. Manager FP&A in the budgeting, and forecasting of activities for certain enterprise technology solutions and business units' technology spend
  • Variance analysis against forecast and budgets, and an ability work closely with business partners to analyze actual results and identify trends
  • Periodic financial forecasts
  • Periodic budgets and plans (e.g., long-range plan, AOP, other)
  • Ad hoc analysis (ex: what if analysis)
  • Co-Lead the team's monthly close and forecasting activities, providing indirect leadership and guidance to the team's Shared Service partners, and driving or creating the structured activities required to deliver top-quality financial guidance and support
  • Support our cloud strategy and related operations. Identify cloud saving opportunities and develop/maintain cloud migration cost model
  • Attend business partner team meetings/relationship management
  • Lead cross-functional teams, as appropriate, to develop financial business case supporting proposed strategic technology initiatives and special projects, including financial modeling and analysis
  • Develop metrics and analyses to build a disciplined approach to measuring return on investment and free cash flow performance

Minimum Requirements

5-7 + years of FP&A, Financial reporting and Supervisory experience

Critical Skills

  • Combination of FP&A and financial reporting experience
  • Knowledge of public cloud products, vendors, migration cost, cloud economics
  • Previous cloud migration experience
  • Balanced analytical and strategic mindset with a demonstrated ability to manage the intricacies of cost and allocation financial activities, as well as the ambition to further develop the ability to validate and glean actionable financial insights from consolidated numbers at a high level without getting lost in the details
  • Ability to build strong business partnerships and collaborate across multiple Enterprise IT Solutions teams and their associated stakeholders
  • Strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines concurrent with an ability to motivate your teammates and working partners in order to deliver upon the organization's objectives in a manner that is operationally excellent
  • Strong ability to identify and eschew activities that do not drive value in support of the finance team's ongoing pursuit of operational excellence

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Superior knowledge of financial analysis and building of financial models
  • Certified FinOps practitioner (CFP) through the FinOps foundation
  • Intermediate to advanced MS PowerPoint
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong executive presence
  • Experience with BPC planning application is preferred, but not required
  • Self-learner and demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
  • Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value
  • Ability to think things through, and make decisions based upon incomplete information or data
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Education

MBA, or similar advanced degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$95,900 - $159,800
