As a media intern, you'll jump right in, working with media teams to better understand and address business and campaign needs. You'll learn about media planning, reporting, problem solving and communication.
You'll help coordinate the execution of campaigns and projects and provide general support to the media team(s). You'll maintain weekly and monthly reports; organize team meetings with media vendors; produce meeting notes and distribute key media kits and case studies from meetings; assist in building media timelines, spec sheets, and decks/recommendations; learn VMLY&R processes, including media vendor IO building and media invoice approval; and more.
What You'll Be Doing
* Taking accurate vendor meeting notes, capturing key vendor differentiations, and distributing media kits and case studies to the team
* Maintaining and updating weekly status reports, depending on client
* Assisting with developing and editing business documents
* Assisting in entry-level financial activities such as drafting ATBs and vendor IO, and approving media invoices for review with a supervisor
* Researching industry trends, media offerings and writing POVs
* Learning media tools such as DoubleClick, Strata, Comscore, MRI and more
* Assisting in transferring media reports into templates, pulling planning reports from tools such as MRI and Comscore, and building planning decks
* Helping with optimizations across digital media, including paid social, online video, display ads and paid search
Required Skills & Experience
* Junior, senior, or nontraditional student in college or recent graduate with coursework or experience in a related field
* Solid communication skills
* Strong organization skills
* Attention to detail, willingness to ask questions and ability to follow up
* Knowledge of overall media logistics
* Initiative, enthusiasm to learn and ability to follow directions
* Interest in digital and media required
