Job/Internship Description

The Initiative on Faith & Public Life seeks to engage Christian college students in conversations at the intersection of politics and public policy, economics, business, society and culture, and the Christian faith. It sponsors a variety of programs and events for students and faculty and produces educational resources such as books, essays, videos, and films. Internship responsibilities include assisting in planning and implementing multiple events and programs (i.e., brainstorming conference speakers, developing marketing materials and recruiting students, interviewing applicants, and compiling and copyediting program materials), managing and updating multiple data lists on Salesforce, editing and writing blog posts for the website, drafting social media content, and conducting research. Requirements include experience with Excel and Publisher, attention to detail, strong writing and interpersonal communication skills, and intellectual curiosity about the topics the initiative covers.

There will be three start dates for the summer program: May 24, June 6, and June 13, 2022.The program will run for a minimum of 10 weeks, although most interns' end dates fall around mid-May. Please see the internship homepage for more updates about the program.

Intern Scholarship Program

In the summer of 2022, AEI will offer up to 12 intern candidates a $1,000 monthly living stipend as part of a need-based scholarship program. Our hope is to allow students to reap the academic, professional, and personal benefits of interning at AEI with the added support of financial assistance. Applicants may fill out a scholarship application at any time during the application, interview, or hiring process. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until May 2. About AEI Internships

AEI internships offer a unique opportunity for undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates to gain experience in research, writing, business, and communications at one of the nation's leading think tanks. Competitive candidates will generally possess a 3.4 GPA or higher from a top-ranking college or university. AEI internships last a minimum of 10 weeks, and interns are required to work 20-40 hours per week. AEI internships are unpaid; however, applicants may apply for the intern scholarship opportunity.
