What you will do:

Accountable to provide technical leadership and development to Master Black belts, helping the regional teams to achieve results and to ensure projects follow the Lean, Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies. Driving for World class Performance through our Clarios Manufacturing System, provides technical leadership and guidance to CI community and leadership executive team.


Accountable to provide independent technical consultation and training to Master Black Belts in operational and transactional environments. Possesses broad-based manufacturing and transactional business experience which allows him/her to contribute on complex projects spanning cross functional and cross business unit teams. May assist in integrating Six Sigma, Lean and other methodologies in new business start-ups and acquisitions. Communicates effectively at all business levels including the ability to make executive presentations. Is capable of training, coaching and developing Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and Master Black Belts. Can provide strategic input to business leaders, and can effectively lead management groups through identifying high-impact improvement projects as well as acting as a Subject Matter expert to lead the Clarios Manufacturing System Gemba Coach program. This level applies to certified MBB's whom have fully demonstrated the capacity to teach Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and Master Black Belts; who can independently lead the Six Sigma or Lean process in assigned areas of responsibility; who can develop and tailor training materials, classes, workshops and methods to their specific audience and; who have demonstrated the ability to coach and train supervisors, managers and executives.


How you will do it:
  1. Achieves annual MBB SMART goals that are communicated each year by the leadership team.
  2. Provides technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to MBBs.
  3. Consults on projects with regard to project direction, financial and quality improvement opportunities through interactions with CI and Ops Leadership team.
  4. Works with regional CI leadership teams to ensure goals are being met.
  5. Drives improvement to our BBP metrics. Coaches CI community and Ops leadership in how to convert gaps in performance into process improvement projects with breakthrough results.
  6. Conducts training and education for Master Black Belts
  7. Leads the CMS Gemba Coach program
  8. Leads the CI Global Council for CI professionals certifications.
  9. Shares best practices cross-region, throughout the Company and monitors projects with the opportunity for collaboration.
  10. Leads the MBB quarterly calls, prepares business relevant information for the CI community to continue their development and education.
  11. Establish and leads recognition and BP sharing programs for CI professionals, including leading the Best practice invitational / team rally program.
  12. As a key member of the GMOC, communicate results of CMS status vs targets, support improvement activities to address areas of opportunities, provides content recommendation for governance process and establishes a review cadence with the regional Ops leadership team.
  13. Leads specific strategic projects independently or with the help of a Black Belt(s).
  14. Stays current with Company Continuous Improvement initiatives and new process and quality improvement tools and techniques.
  15. Collaborates with process owners, Ops Academy and other MBBs to develop and evolve Six Sigma and Lean training materials, classes, workshops, tools and methods. Integrate new content as required (ie. Change management, project management, soft skills to drive change)

Qualifications
What we look for:

RequiredSkills/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferably in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics or the Sciences.
  • Strong math and statistical capability.
  • Certified as MBB, Six Sigma & Lean. KT certification a plus.
  • Ability and experience coaching others
  • Experience in Operations, previous success leading teams, projects and results
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and excellence communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • The capacity to teach others and be seen as approachable, helpful and supportive by Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and leadership.
  • An Operational excellence and process improvement mindset
